His Soul is Mine by Frankie D

A golden hand slams a stamp onto the Entrance Report paper. The stamp reads "Approved." The hand holds one of the white feathers between two fingers.

A young-adult angel with golden skin, blank white eyes without pupils or irises, a stark white afro hair-style, and white feather wings sits at the table looking at one of their feathers. They are wearing a blue and white toga-like tunic and gladiator sandals. They say, â€œSighâ€¦Losing feathers againâ€¦â€

The pages from here on are black and white. The angel figure is struggling to carry a stack of papers in an outdoor columned courtyard. Looking exhausted, they approach a figure and announce, â€œMaster! Iâ€™ve brought your paperwork!â€ A taller, older angel is reading a large scroll. They say, without looking at the younger angel, â€œSplendid, Chiel. Send it down the appropriate chute now.â€ Chiel does as asked.

Chiel looks up hesitantly and says, â€œMasterâ€¦I was wonderingâ€”â€œ The older angel says, â€œWondering again, are we?â€ Chiel, looking fearful, says, â€œWell, umâ€¦Yes, butâ€”â€œ The older angel turns around and says, â€œDarling creature, canâ€™t you tell when Iâ€™m teasing?â€ They have a smooth head without hair, cheekbones, or a nose. In place of eyes, they have 5 leaf-like shapes. Their mouth is curved in a smirk. They affectionately pinch Chielâ€™s cheek, and still smiling say, â€œNow, what troubles you?â€ Chiel replies, â€œUm, could I possiblyâ€¦do something other than paperwork?â€

The older angel lets goes of Chielâ€™s cheek with a SNAP. Chiel looks taken aback and says, â€œOw!â€ The older angel frowns and says, â€œMust we have this discussion yet again?â€ The older angel towers menacingly and gives off a dark aura, though their form is slightly chibi-fied. Chiel scratches their cheek, grimacing, and says, â€œW-we donâ€™t have toâ€¦If itâ€™s inconvenient, or somethingâ€¦â€ Chiel kneels and holds their hands together in prayer, begging, â€œBut Master, please show mercy! Itâ€™s so boring! I canâ€™t bear another second!!â€
