B. is Dying Episode 11

“B. is dying! But not before re-reading his favorite books! The HOLY BOOKS! Those that help us merge the one and the null, that help us shift from then to now—from here, to nowhere…”

B is floating on his back on the water, holding a book in his hand. He shouts, “I read from the holy book, ‘MR. PALOMAR’ by Italo Calvino!”

The sun is setting. B still floats and shouts, “From Book 1, Chapter 1, Verse 3, ‘The sword of the sun’; paragraph 8-“

Two cave people are making a pile of stones on the shore, perhaps for a fire, as B shouts in the background, “I cannot reach that SWORD! Always there ahead! It cannot be inside me, and at the same time, something inside which I am SWIMMING! If I see it, I remain outside it, and it remains outside!”

B turns to look at a shadowy figure in the foreground. “I see you over there! Preparing your weapons and sharpening your flint! Assembling the funeral stones!”

B continues, “Well you won’t get any SATISFACTION from me! I am at one with the water, at one with the waves, and with the boiling ATOMS of the SUN!”

Two cave people look on in dismay as B is still floating in the water, shouting, “I am learning to be dead!”
