Hold Still Episode 57

1. Kim is sitting on one knee, other knee perpendicular to the ground, as rummages through a shelf of papers in front of her. She is dressed in all black, wearing glasses, and has on a neutral expression. â€œDecember 8. Worked. Not sleeping great, Mom picked up Enzo from school so I got to see her and Ali after work.â€
2. Tonyâ€™s back is to the reader as he stands outside shoveling a large pile of mulch in his front yard. â€œDecember 9. Frustrating dreams. Turned in final paper. Emotional day, a neighbor cut down a healthy, mature mango tree. The tree trimmer gave me the mulch.â€
3. From a high angle, we look down at Kim sitting in the grass working on a garden. Next to her is a wheelbarrow full of mulch, and in front of her is a plant with four large leaves. In the foreground, a gardenerâ€™s glove sits atop a fence post. â€œDecember 12.â€
4. Enzo and another masculine figure are sitting on the couch. Enzo is upright, looking down to read a book in his hands. The other person, possibly Tony or perhaps a kid around Enzoâ€™s age, is slumped in the couch cushion, scrolling on their phone, which obscures their face. â€œDecember 11. Worked, then to momâ€™s for her ornament ex. party, so tired.â€
5. Kim is sitting one leg over the other in an office swivel chair, looking at her phone. Someoneâ€™s legs extend from the couch at the side of the panel, the rest of their body off-panel. One foot rests on Kimâ€™s dog lying on the ground. â€œDecember 12. Tony bought bagels to bring to momâ€™s. Day off.â€
6. Kim is crouched down outside, touching a leafy plant in front her and looking down at mushrooms on the ground. â€œDecember 13. First time with two days off in a long time. Composted and harvested mushrooms.â€
