Panel 1:
A man in blue jeans and a long-sleeved shirt is falling through the clouds. Above him is the question, “If your plane blew up and you were falling in mid-air, could you really see anything?
Below the man are the words: “You would not see very much unless you happened to have some goggles hanging around your neck.
Panel 2:
At the top of the page are the words: “Think of it like riding on a motorcycle at 120 miles per hour with nothing to shield your eyes from the wind.”
The same falling man appears in the upper right corner of the panel. He continues falling and shields his face from a dark-haired, god-like, female figure blowing into his face.
Panel 3:
At the side of the panel, an airplane dives toward the ground out of control. To the left of it, two men struggle in mid-air.
The text reads: “Of course, this didn’t prevent James Bond from catching up with and taking a parachute away from a bad guy in Moonraker (1979). But that’s a movie.
Panel 4:
The man is still falling through the clouds, but now he is on his back with his arms folded behind his head. He looks relaxed. A bird to his right is surprised to see him.
Above him is a question plus a statement: “Could you just look up? You’d have a nice view of the sky at least.”
Below him, the answer reads: “Um, unless you are an experienced skydiver, falling in a stable position on your back is easier said than done.
